Ms. Assuncao,

I am a journalism student in Natchitoches, La. I also work with the National Center for Preservation Technology and Training. My interest in Paper Music came about because I was writing an article on how heritage folks use Ning to communicate heritage values. The article can be found at the Voices of the Past webpage (http://www.voicesofthepast.org/2009/10/02/create-your-own-heritage-social-network-with-ning/).

Espero que você e o Jorge estejam bem. Estou esperando vocês aqui para comemorarmos o nosso aniversário, aliás como sempre.
Mande-me o tal vídeo que o Ricardo Bernardes lhe enviou. Estou curioso.
Uma beijoca,

I hope people begin to talk and change experiences. My particular interest is music cataloguing and personal archives organisation.

We have all kinds of material. Music literature (Legal Deposit), printed music, manuscript scores and parts, personal collections from music amateurs, composer's papers (including mail, postcards), musical institution's archives (the national opera theatre "São Carlos", the National Conservatoire), etc. It includes, not only music but also programs, photographs, posters, engraving, libretti, etc.

The name of the library comes from the Lilian Voudouri foundation, which founded the music library of Greece. Lilian Voudouri (female) was an chemist, but together with her husband (Aris Voudouris, a rich man of politics and editor) they published some newspapers and dealt with some businesses - that should be around the 60s-70s...
As about the library's collections, there is a significant collection on Greek art music, Byzantine music, and Greek traditional music, in addition to the regular collections of Western "art" and popular music.
